HELP SAVE THIS MARRIAGE!

A reader who asked to be called only as Ms. CP of Bahrain has just found out that his husband here in Manila has started communicating with his former girlfriend through text messages.

This after she failed to reply to his text messages for quite some time because, or so she says, she was overwhelmed by the beauty of Bahrain’s  mother nature. 

She wants to save their marriage but they have not been talking for more than two months now.

For you to better understand what I’ll advice, CP, you must first realize that it’s just not your fault, you’re a lot more to blame than your husband.

Not only had you ignored him. You apparently did not exert enough effort to appease his heart and ask him first why he had gotten in touch with his former sweetheart before you widened the gap between yourselves.

I’m not saying that your husband is justified with what he had done. Any form of cheating is never justified.

So if you still want to save your marriage, the first thing to do is break the ice between the two of you and ask him for a ‘no-holds’ barred, heart-to-heart talk.

If he agrees, BE TOTALLY HONEST AND TRANSPARENT with the real reason why you failed to respond to his text messages.

Personally, I find your reason that you simply enjoyed Bahrain’s nature so much VERY HARD TO BELIEVE! If you’ll stick to that, better have a very detailed description of what super duper and extraordinarily irresistible sight or phenomenon made you ignore even your husband.

Give your husband as much time as he needs to explain why he started sending text messages to his former sweetheart. Listen with an open mind and let it come from him if it’s true or not in the first place.

Don’t accuse or humiliate him. Remember, it all started from you.

After you’ve both laid down your cards, so to speak, BE THE FIRST in asking if you can start all over again. Use every trick you know to charm him because, believe me, it won’t be an easy decision.

And be 1001 percent sure that you still indeed want to save your marriage, and are willing to start all over again and forgive and forget his infidelity, if indeed there had been any.

Ask the same thing to him. Ask him to answer you truthfully, and straight in the eye. If you both can do this, then you’re on a new road to a blissful married life.

If one of you can’t, then start scouting around for the best annulment lawyer you both can afford. 30
